The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has inaugurated new accommodation and a multipurpose sports complex for Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel at 055 NAFCAMP, Legico Barracks, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The facilities include two blocks of 24 two-bedroom flats, one block of 40 one-bedroom flats, and a purpose-built sports complex, aimed at enhancing the welfare and living standards of NAF personnel and their families.
Speaking at the event, Aneke highlighted that providing conducive housing is essential for morale and operational efficiency. “These facilities represent a significant departure from traditional barracks, featuring thoughtful architectural designs executed to the highest standards,” he said.
He commended his predecessor, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar (rtd.), for initiating the projects and urged personnel to use and maintain the facilities responsibly. Aneke also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, the Federal Government, and the National Assembly for their support in realizing the projects.
The commissioning reflects the Air Force’s commitment to personnel welfare, operational readiness, and the broader Renewed Hope Agenda for national security and prosperity.
