Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about leaving behind the party-heavy lifestyle that marked his early years in the music industry, emphasizing that maturity, family, and rest have become his priorities.
Speaking on The LongForm Podcast on YouTube, the award-winning singer reflected on how early fame and rapid success exposed him to an intense nightlife culture.
He admitted that clubbing and frequenting nightclubs were once regular parts of his routine, but said his lifestyle has since evolved.
“Now, I enjoy staying at home, working in the studio, and hosting small gatherings with close friends,” Davido explained. “Even during my recent extended visits to Nigeria, I chose to stay indoors and found joy in quieter activities.”
Family life has become central to his daily routine, he noted, describing his current lifestyle as calmer yet deeply fulfilling.
Despite the quieter approach to life, Davido emphasized that he remains highly energetic and committed when it comes to performances, music production, and professional engagements.
The singer’s shift reflects a broader trend among artists seeking balance between career demands and personal well-being, highlighting how maturity can reshape priorities without diminishing professional output.
