Serbia forward Aleksandar Mitrović and Slovenia striker Benjamin Šeško share the UEFA Nations League record for the longest consecutive scoring run in the competition.
According to UEFA, both players scored in five successive Nations League appearances, making them the only players to have achieved the feat since the competition began.
Mitrović’s scoring run stretched from June 5, 2022, to October 12, 2024, while Šeško matched the record between June 12, 2022, and September 9, 2024.
Both players also scored hat-tricks during their respective runs.
Mitrović scored three goals against Sweden on September 24, 2022, while Šeško recorded his treble against Kazakhstan on September 9, 2024.
18 Players Have Scored Nations League Hat-Tricks
UEFA also confirmed that 18 different players have scored hat-tricks in the Nations League.
Finland forward Joel Pohjanpalo became the latest addition to the list after scoring three times in Finland’s 7-0 victory over San Marino on September 26, 2026.
Pohjanpalo’s hat-trick also made him the leading scorer after the opening matchday of the 2026/27 Nations League.
Following Matchday 2, however, Pohjanpalo is now level with Norway’s Erling Haaland on three goals at the top of the scoring chart. Haaland scored twice against Denmark before adding another goal against Portugal.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo remains the only player to have scored a hat-trick during the Nations League Finals.

UEFA’s records show that no other player has matched Ronaldo’s achievement in the Nations League Finals.

Norway’s Erling Haaland and Spain’s Ferran Torres hold the record as the youngest players to score Nations League hat-tricks.
Haaland was 20 years and 82 days old when he scored his treble, while Torres was 20 years and 262 days old.
The UEFA record also includes hat-tricks from players such as Haris Seferović, James Forrest, Arber Zeneli, Eran Zahavi, Stefan Mugoša, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Isaac Price, Viktor Gyökeres, Nikola Krstović and Vedat Muriqi.
Gyökeres And Mikautadze On Four-Match Runs
While Mitrović and Šeško remain alone at the top with five consecutive scoring matches, several players have recorded four-match runs.
Romania’s Răzvan Marin, Georgia’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, as well as Sweden’s Viktor Gyökeres, have each scored in four consecutive Nations League matches according to UEFA’s latest record.
