The Nigerian dancer says his mind is clear following his release on bail as his court hearing approaches in London.
Popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, widely known as Poco Lee, has spoken publicly for the first time since being granted bail in the United Kingdom over alleged sexual offences.
Poco Lee addressed the ongoing legal matter during a live video call with social commentator VeryDarkMan, which circulated across social media platforms on Sunday.
During the call, the dancer maintained his innocence regarding the allegations and stated that he remained mentally strong throughout his period in custody because he knew he committed no crime.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins,” Poco Lee said. “Since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure.“
The entertainer revealed that his primary concern during his detention was the welfare of his business associates and the financial impact his absence caused them.
He also expressed appreciation to Afrobeats star Burna Boy, socialite Rahman Jago, and other close friends for standing by him during the legal ordeal.
Poco Lee was formally charged in August with five sexual offences, including two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and two counts of assault by penetration, following an incident allegedly occurring while he was in London for a concert appearance.
He is scheduled to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15 for a plea and trial preparation hearing, where the formal judicial process will continue.
