West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has provided a squad update and stressed the importance of his side’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Burnley, who remain without a win in their last 15 matches.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Nuno confirmed that most of his players are fit, with only Jean-Clair Todibo unavailable due to suspension following a red card.
“We have a few situations to monitor,” Nuno said. “But apart from JC, everyone else is available, hopefully.”

Disasi Set for Assessment
Nuno also addressed the condition of new loan signing Axel Disasi.
The defender recently joined West Ham and has trained with the squad. Nuno said Disasi looks physically sharp but must integrate fully into the team.
“He’s been working and is in a good physical condition,” the manager said. “Now he needs to settle into the team. He’s strong defensively and comfortable on the ball.”
The club plans to assess Disasi further before making a final decision on his involvement, especially after limited playing time at his previous club.
January Transfers and Squad Depth
When asked about the absence of a direct replacement for Lucas Paquetá, Nuno pointed to the realities of the transfer market.
“You can have targets, but they belong to other clubs,” he explained. “It’s not only about what you want. Other clubs also have their plans.”
However, he praised the January signings for joining during a challenging period for the club.
“It takes courage to join a team in this situation,” Nuno said. “They’ve shown commitment and understand the fight we are in.”
Respect for Burnley
Despite Burnley’s poor run of form, Nuno dismissed any suggestion that West Ham feel superior heading into the match.
“We never feel superior,” he said. “Burnley are fighting for the same objective. It’s their home ground, and it will be tough.”
He recalled their previous meeting at the London Stadium in November, describing it as a difficult contest. He expects Burnley to respond strongly in front of their fans.
A Key Moment in the Season
Nuno underlined the significance of the fixture, especially as West Ham look to bounce back from their recent result against Chelsea.
“There’s still a lot of football to play, but this is a very important game,” he said. “It means a lot to us.”
With both teams battling for crucial points, the match could play a decisive role in shaping their league ambitions.
