IGP Orders Immediate Security Deployment

The Inspector-General directed the immediate deployment of tactical, operational, and intelligence units to Kaiama and neighbouring communities.

Police authorities said the move aims to:

  • Restore calm in affected areas

  • Reinforce security presence

  • Prevent further violence

The Force reaffirmed its responsibility to protect lives and property across the country.

Manhunt Launched

Police have launched a coordinated manhunt for those responsible for the attack.

Investigators are working to identify suspects and anyone linked to the incident. Authorities say they have mobilised all available resources to track down and arrest the perpetrators.

“The perpetrators will not escape the long arm of the law,” Hundeyin said, stressing the Force’s commitment to justice.

Call for Public Cooperation

The police urged residents to remain calm and support security operations. Authorities encouraged citizens to provide credible and timely information through nearby police stations or established communication channels.

Security analysts note that swift intelligence gathering often plays a crucial role in preventing retaliatory violence and restoring stability after mass casualty incidents.
