Martins Iyeh has become the first housemate to exit the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show, following the outcome of Sunday night’s live eviction show.
The 30-year-old visual storyteller, creative director and model from Kogi State was sent packing after viewers’ votes determined which of the nominated contestants would continue in the competition.
Martins’ departure comes only two weeks after the new season began, leaving the remaining housemates to continue their pursuit of the grand prize.
Martins’ BBNaija Journey Ends
Martins was among the 24 housemates unveiled when the 11th season premiered on July 26.
This year’s edition carries the theme “Everything Is For The Taking”, popularly branded “Show Ya Sef.” The season comes with a record N160 million prize package, including N100 million in cash and an SUV.
Before entering the Big Brother house, Martins built a profile as a creative director, visual storyteller and model. He also listed basketball among his interests and playfully claimed that mind-reading was one of his hidden abilities.
At his introduction, however, Martins made it clear that he primarily wanted to enjoy the experience.
“I came here to have fun,” he said.
Birthday Celebration in the Big Brother House
Despite his brief stay, Martins became part of the early social dynamics inside the house.
He formed friendships with other contestants and participated in the conversations, activities and interactions that helped shape the opening weeks of the season.
His time in the house also included a birthday celebration organised by his fellow housemates.
During the gathering, Mercedes entertained him with a performance, while other contestants joined in with prayers and goodwill messages.
How Martins Was Evicted
Martins’ eviction followed a week in which a large number of contestants faced the possibility of leaving the show.
Sixteen housemates were initially placed at risk of eviction. However, Head of House Sheba used her power to save Chimsom Chuka, while Aikou and Flora remained protected as the season’s Gambits.
Consequently, the remaining nominees depended on viewers’ votes to determine who would continue their BBNaija journey.
BBNaija Season 11 Continues
With Martins’ exit, the number of contestants competing for the N160 million prize has been reduced.
The remaining housemates will now face another round of nominations, tasks, strategic alliances and possible evictions as the competition progresses.
As the season develops, the housemates must balance relationships, entertainment and strategy while attempting to win the support of viewers across Nigeria and beyond.
