Slaughter, appointed Solicitor General on July 21, said he looked forward to working with Reeves to address challenges facing the justice system.
He described the Solicitor General’s position as an important constitutional role connecting law and government and contributing to good governance.

He said he would work with Reeves to address those challenges and help maintain public confidence in the justice system.
The ceremony was attended by the Lady Chief Justice, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
