Renowned Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Femi Atere, drawing excitement from fans and well-wishers.

The fashion entrepreneur shared the news on Tuesday through an emotional video posted on her Instagram page. The clip captured an intimate moment between the couple as Veekee proudly revealed her baby bump.

In the caption accompanying the post, she expressed gratitude and joy, writing, “And two shall become three… Indeed, this is what only God can do.”

The announcement quickly sparked reactions online, with celebrities, colleagues and fans flooding her comment section with congratulatory messages and prayers for a safe pregnancy and delivery.

Veekee had remained quiet amid weeks of speculation about a possible pregnancy. Observant fans and gossip blogs had earlier hinted at the development, but the designer chose to confirm the news personally through her social media page.

Her relationship with Femi Atere has remained in the public spotlight since their wedding in October 2023.

The couple held their traditional wedding ceremony in Akwa Ibom State in February 2024, followed by a vintage-themed white wedding in Lagos.

With the pregnancy now officially confirmed, many of her admirers are eager to see the designer embrace motherhood while continuing to make her mark in Nigeria’s fashion industry.
