Nigeria’s newest indigenous carrier, Binani Air, has marked its first 30 days of commercial operations, describing the milestone as a strong foundation for its ambition to become one of the country’s most trusted airlines.
The airline, which officially entered Nigeria’s aviation market last month, says it has recorded encouraging feedback from passengers, travel partners, and industry stakeholders as it continues to expand its footprint across key domestic routes.
Speaking on the achievement, Group President, Aminatu Dahiru Chiroma, said the first month of operations reflects years of planning, investment, training, and regulatory compliance.
“We are not just flying aircraft; we are connecting dreams, opportunities, and people,” Chiroma stated.
Building More Than an Airline
According to the airline’s management, every successful flight represents the culmination of extensive preparations carried out long before the first aircraft took to the skies.
Chiroma explained that while passengers see only the departure and arrival of flights, a significant amount of work happens behind the scenes.
She noted that operational readiness, personnel training, certification processes, and strategic planning all played critical roles in launching the airline successfully.
“These first 30 days mean far more than the number of flights completed. They represent the realization of a vision that has been years in the making,” she said.
Passenger Confidence Drives Early Success
Binani Air revealed that one of the most rewarding aspects of its first month has been the positive response from travelers.
The airline said passengers have consistently praised its customer service, flight crew professionalism, smooth boarding procedures, and overall travel experience.
According to management, many customers have gone on to recommend the airline to friends, family members, and business associates.
Chiroma described such endorsements as one of the strongest indicators of customer satisfaction.
“The greatest advertisement is a satisfied passenger. When travelers willingly share their positive experiences, it shows that trust is being built,” she added.
Senator Binani’s Vision Behind the Airline
The airline also acknowledged the role of its founder and chairperson, Aishatu Dahiru Binani, whose vision helped drive the project from concept to reality.
Management noted that the airline’s launch followed the issuance of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in March 2026.
Chiroma praised Binani’s leadership, describing her commitment, resilience, and strategic direction as instrumental to the airline’s successful entry into the aviation industry.
“She consistently encouraged innovation while ensuring that safety, compliance, and sustainability remained at the center of every decision,” she said.
The Group President also paid tribute to Ahmed Dahiru, whom she described as a major source of encouragement and support throughout the airline’s development journey.
Safety and Service Remain Key Priorities
Despite celebrating its early achievements, Binani Air says it remains focused on maintaining high operational standards.
Management emphasized that safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction will continue to guide the airline’s growth strategy.
The company added that it intends to strengthen service delivery while investing in workforce development, operational efficiency, and customer-focused innovations.
Looking Ahead
As Binani Air enters its second month of operations, the airline says it remains committed to building a sustainable aviation brand capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s economy and transportation sector.
While acknowledging the challenges that come with operating in a highly competitive industry, management expressed confidence that the foundations established during the first month will support long-term expansion.
