Award-winning Kenyan broadcaster Adelle Onyango will host a new six-episode podcast titled Difference She Makes, a series that highlights how women in law are shaping reform and strengthening justice systems across Africa.
The weekly podcast will air on the Legally Clueless platform and feature leading female legal professionals from Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. Through candid conversations, the series will explore how women lawyers influence institutions, champion ethical leadership, and drive long-term systemic change.
Focus on Reform, Leadership and Access to Justice
Organisers say the podcast will move beyond legal theory and instead examine how the law operates in real life — shaped by culture, workplace dynamics, and intergenerational mentorship.
According to Nelly Uwineza, Communication Officer of the Voice and Verdict Fellowship, the series will spotlight practical tools that women use to advance justice.
“Across six episodes, the podcast highlights practical levers of institutional change, from strategic litigation and professional ethics to movement building and everyday leadership,” she said.
The show will also emphasise storytelling as a powerful tool for redefining credibility, authority, and inclusion within legal spaces.

The podcast will feature respected women in law, including:
- Anne Ireri, outgoing CEO of FIDA Kenya
- Zikhona Ndlebe, South African lawyer and researcher
- Ruth Tanui, Founder of Ruth Tanui & Co. Advocates
- Natasha Ali Errey, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Chairperson of Mombasa Law Society
- Odunoluwa Longe, Partner and Co-Founder of TLP Advisory
- Sibongile Ndashe, Founder and Executive Director of the Initiative for Strategic Litigation in Africa (ISLA)
Through these voices, the series will examine how women lawyers build solidarity across generations while expanding access to justice.

The producers will release new episodes every Friday for six consecutive weeks. Audiences can stream the series on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, YouTube, and other Legally Clueless channels.
The organisers will also support the launch with a coordinated campaign across Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, combining mainstream media coverage with digital engagement.
