Tennessee judge grants restraining order against Bryan Seaver following alleged threats and claims of extortion targeting late singer’s business managers.
A Tennessee court has issued a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver, the nephew and former head of security for country music icon Dolly Parton.
The ruling orders Seaver to stay away from employees, attorneys, and business partners managing the icon’s professional estate following allegations of escalating threats and harassment.
Court Cites Severe Threats and Access to Military Weapons
The legal action was initiated by She’s Alive, LLC, the business entity overseeing Parton’s professional affairs and estate, managed by her longtime business manager, Danny Nozell.
According to court filings presented in Davidson County Chancery Court, estate administrators alleged that Seaver launched an intimidation campaign after being abruptly dismissed from his security role.
Documents submitted to the court featured text communications in which Seaver allegedly invoked his background as a former military contractor, boasting access to high-grade weaponry while threatening to destroy his aunt’s business partnerships.
Under the order issued by Chancellor I’Ashea L. Myles, Seaver and his private security firm must remain at least 1,000 feet away from estate personnel and private properties, including residences and commercial assets.
Former Security Chief Claims Messages Were Contextual
Responding to the court order, Seaver denied all allegations of illegal threats or extortion attempts against his aunt’s estate.
Speaking through public statements, Seaver maintained that the cited text messages were private exchanges taken entirely out of context during an emotional period of personal grief.
He asserted that his comments were aimed at protecting his family’s interests and questioned the management decisions made by estate executors following Parton’s passing.
The Chancery Court has scheduled a formal injunction hearing for October 7 to review the temporary order and evaluate long-term security measures for the estate.
