Exclusive celebratory gathering bringing together music industry stars and stakeholders in Afro Glam attire.
Nominees for the 18th edition of the Headies Awards will gather at Vaniti, a nightlife and entertainment venue in Lagos, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for an exclusive nominees’ party.
The celebratory gathering, scheduled to kick off at 10 p.m., serves as one of the primary pre-award events organized by executive producers to honor the achievements of recognized recording artists, songwriters, producers, and music executives.
Glamorous Pre-Award Event to Spotlight Industry Achievement
According to official invitations issued by the award organizers across digital channels, guests and nominees attending the gathering are expected to show up adhering to an “Afro Glam” dress code.
The evening is designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere for honorees and industry stakeholders to network, celebrate their nominations, and highlight the creative milestones recorded across the African music scene over the past year.
Organizers expressed enthusiasm for hosting the nominees, noting that the party remains a vital tradition aimed at showcasing the incredible creative talent acknowledged in this year’s edition.
“The exclusive nominees’ party will bring together this year’s nominees for an evening celebrating their achievements and the talent represented at the 18th edition of the Headies,” the organizers stated in a public release.
Building Momentum Ahead of the Main Award Ceremony
The Headies remains one of Africa’s most prominent music award platforms, celebrating outstanding excellence across Afrobeats, hip-hop, highlife, street-hop, and alternative sound genres.
Over its multi-decade history, the institution has provided major exposure for emerging Nigerian and African talent, helping propel domestic hits onto global broadcast networks and digital charts.
With Lagos hosting the pre-award festivities, attention across the Nigerian music landscape turns to Vaniti as stars assemble ahead of the official award presentation ceremony.
Further announcements regarding the main awards show venue, performance lineups, and broadcasting partnerships are anticipated in the coming days.
