Popular content creator dominates four-round crossover bout in Lagos, extending his unbeaten record in the ring.

Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has retained his celebrity boxing title after defeating controversial musician Speed Darlington in a highly anticipated crossover bout on Thursday night.

The clash took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of the “Chaos in the Ring” Independence Day edition organized by Balmoral Promotions.

Dominant Display Secures Decision Victory

Entering the ring with strong momentum from his previous victory over street-pop singer Portable, Carter Efe established control from the opening bell, using aggressive combinations and superior ring generalship to dictate the pace.

Throughout the four scheduled rounds, Speed Darlington struggled to mount effective offense or counter the streamer’s persistent pressure, frequently being forced to defend on the ropes.

Following four rounds of competitive action, the fight officials went to the scorecards, declaring Carter Efe the winner by unanimous decision.

“After four rounds of action, we go through the judges’ scorecard,” event organizers announced inside the venue. “Your winner by unanimous decision and still celebrity champion is Carter Efe.”

Post-Fight Callouts and International Ambitions

Following the announcement of his victory, Carter Efe celebrated the defense of his title belt, expressing confidence in taking his celebrity boxing career to an international audience.

In post-fight remarks, the content creator humorously called out former multi-division world champion Floyd Mayweather and British heavyweights, asserting his readiness for high-profile exhibition matches overseas.

“The Speed Darlington fight proved that I am ready for bigger platforms,” Carter Efe stated following his win. “I am looking at taking this international next, and my team is ready for whatever comes next.”

The “Chaos in the Ring” event, which also saw reality TV star Phyna defeat Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing, continues to draw major attention as crossover celebrity boxing gains significant traction across Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
